I was born in 1982 to my wonderful parents, Ken and Nancy. I grew up in Oklahoma (not long thankfully), Austin (twice), Long Beach and, now, Houston.
My wife, Erin, and I were married July 2006 in Austin. It was a great time and one of the best days of my life. After our wedding I left my job at KUT Austin and we set up shop in Houston so that Erin could work and go to graduate school.
About 2 months after we moved to Houston I got a part time job as a weekend board operator at BizRadio 1320 (and various other frequencies through the years). This would be the beginning of a long, tumultuous journey that won’t be delved into here. Long story short, it turned into a full time board operator job, followed by a promotion to audio producer (which I’d been doing at KUT), followed by adding on duties as the co-webmaster, co-graphic designer, co-event coordinator and co-everything else. As the company collapsed due to an inability to make money (and other, various legal issues), I was let go in March of 2010 and have since been unemployed/a stay at home dad.
In July 2010 Isaac was born and he’s changed our life completely since.
Aside from being a stay at home dad who does graphic design, web design and audio production, I joined the Houston Athletic Rugby Club at the beginning of the 2009 season and plan to continue playing for as long as my body (and family) will allow. It’s one of my few activities where I get adult interaction outside of the house.
