I’ve told you before that Isaac flipped one day and became deathly afraid of taking a bath. Then he got a little better.
Well, I’m happy to report that we have finally gotten the 180 that we so desperately wanted from the first flip out. I don’t know what triggered the change in attitude toward baths, but thank goodness.
We still haven’t gotten to the point where we put him in the bath and he automatically sits down, but he is willing to let us sit him down and then wash him down. It’s nice not to have him standing up and me having to worry about him falling on his butt while I attempt to wash his feet (his stinky, stinky feet).
As a matter of fact, he got so excited last night during his bath that at the end I asked if he was ready to get out and he said no. Then he decided it was time to splash. I mean really splash.
I don’t know if you can see it, but that’s water on the wall on the left. And yes, that’s a good 3 feet away from the tub. He was splashing and flinging water and just having a ball. Eventually I even had to take him out of the tub. I mean TAKE him out of the tub.
So here’s to the turnaround. I don’t know how, I don’t know why and, honestly, I don’t really care. I’m just glad that he’s back to his old bath habits and we can have a good time at bath time.
