There aren’t a whole lot of sites out there to help Stay at Home Dads (SAHD), so I’ve compiled some of what I’ve found that’s focused at dads, as well as some focused at women which COULD have been gender neutral but they decided to make woman-centric.

  • If you feel like, while you care for the child, you’re not contributing to the household, as is common among SAHDs, you can learn more from Andrea Doucet’s 2005 study.
  • If you’re trying to balance working from home while taking care of your kid then BabyCenter has a good article about some strategies to employ.
  • If you want to go to a convention for SAHDs, apparently you’re in luck.  I can’t vouch for any of it but it’s there.
  • This one is directed towards moms, but dads can definitely benefit from it.  It’s all about how to beat the monotony and isolation that can come from taking care of your child.

If you have any places that you’ve found good information (online, in a book, magazine, etc) please post it in the comments.  There’s not much out there, we need to help each other out.
